Next Chapter Horses LLC · Prosper, TX

Horses with a story ready for their next one

We find undervalued horses, invest in real training, and match them with the right families in DFW. This is what we do — and why we do it well.

Built on a simple belief

Most horses that end up at auction aren't bad horses. They're undertrained, misunderstood, or just landed in the wrong hands. Next Chapter Horses was built on the belief that with the right time and the right training, those horses can become exactly what a family needs.

We operate out of Prosper, Texas — deep in the heart of the DFW horse corridor. We know these auctions. We know these trainers. And we know how to evaluate a horse for what it could be, not just what it is today.

Every horse we bring in gets a fresh start. Thorough ground assessment, a tailored training plan, and an honest write-up about what they know, what they're still learning, and what kind of rider they'd thrive with. No hype. No surprises after the sale.

How we turn potential into partnership

Every horse gets the same structured approach — no shortcuts, no rushing. A well-trained horse sells itself, and more importantly, stays safe in its next home.

01

Evaluation

Before training starts, we assess conformation, temperament, soundness, and any existing skills. We document what we find honestly — not optimistically.

02

Groundwork

Lunging, leading, yielding, and basic respect on the ground. A horse that listens from the ground is safer under saddle. This step never gets skipped.

03

Desensitization

Tarps, flags, clippers, water, traffic — we expose horses to the things that spook them until those things are boring. Confidence-building over time, not force.

04

Trail Exposure

Creek crossings, uneven ground, hills, bridges. North Texas has great riding country and we use it. Real-world experience builds real-world confidence.

05

Under-Saddle Work

Walk, trot, lope — responsiveness to leg and rein, stopping, backing, and transitions. We develop willing, consistent horses that ride the same every time.

06

Buyer Matching

The right horse for the right rider. We ask about your experience, your goals, and your family before suggesting a match. The fit is everything.

Every horse we sell has completed a minimum of 60–90 days of structured training. We don't list horses that aren't ready. If a horse needs more time, it gets more time — period. When you buy from Next Chapter Horses, you know what you're getting.

What makes Next Chapter different

Most horse sellers in DFW have zero web presence, minimal training documentation, and no follow-through after the sale. We operate differently.

60–90 Day Minimum Training

No horse leaves our program in under 60 days. We track every session, document progress, and won't list a horse until we'd put a beginner adult or confident kid on it.

Standard on every horse

We Match Horses to Riders

Buying a horse isn't like buying a truck. We want to know who's riding, their experience level, and what they plan to do. Then we'll tell you honestly if a horse is a fit — or not.

Consultation included

Full History & Transparency

Every listing includes where the horse came from, what we found at evaluation, the full training timeline, any vet work done, and an honest assessment of strengths and gaps.

No surprises after the sale

We Care About the Match

This sounds obvious, but we mean it. A horse in the wrong home leads to problems. We'll turn down a sale if a horse isn't right for the buyer — because the horse's wellbeing matters too.
